Sorry for the silence on my end, but I have some VERY exciting news!!! I am in the process of setting up an Online Basket Auction to raise funds for the Freeze Out 5k happening January 18, 2018 on the OCC Campus.
I have participated in this race since it began in 2014 and am looking forward to it once again this coming winter. During the last four years of fundraising I have been fortunate for the support and donations from so many friends and family to support the Rescue Mission, but I wanted to kick it up a notch this year and dig a little deeper, hence the Online Basket Auctions.
At this time I am planning on holding one in the early part of November and again in December. They make great holiday gifts!!! I was debating on putting one together for January, but instead will be doing what I did last year and walking to work one day to help raise awareness towards homelessness and of course raising funds in the process. (I raised just over $400 in 24hours last year – WHOA!)
I am absolutely blown away by the support and donations I have already received. I have 10 baskets in the mix right now for November – just WOW!!! They include:

I admit that the planning process of this has put a dent in my training, but then again work is a bit crazy right now too so it’s best if I am struggling with training now, than when work settles down in the beginning of November as well.
